Wendle Harrell

Funeral services for Wendle Wayne Harrell, age 71, of Sulphur Springs have been set for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.J. Duffey officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Plunkett, Charles Teague, Steven Coursey, Randy Carlton, Rickey Plunkett and Jeffery Plunkett. Interment will be in the Yantis Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2018.
Mr. Harrell passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his home in Sulphur Springs.
Wendle Wayne Harrell was born February 7, 1947, the son of Wilber Harrell and Ivy Mitchell Harrell in Arlington, Texas. He married Phyllis Wilson on May 5, 1988 in Sulphur Springs. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include wife: Phyllis Harrell; daughters: Shaleena Plunkett and husband, Jeff, Kim Carlton and husband, Tommy, and Christi Traylor and husband, Eric; son: Jerry Harrell and wife, Rhonda; grandchildren: Rickey Plunkett, Jessica Plunkett, Jeffery Plunkett, Harley Coursey, Katie Carlton, Randy Carlton, Jerry Harrell and Crystal Harrell; 7 great grandchildren; sister: Rosie Peppers; brother: Jodie Harrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers;2 brother-in-laws; 2 nephews.
