Ruby Hathcoat

Funeral services for Ruby E. Hathcoat, age 78, of Sulphur Springs have been scheduled for Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 10:00AM at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chad Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Conner Cemetery with Chris Shotwell, Rick Hall, Sam Hall, Justin Hall, Mike Skelton, and Jeff Mannis serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include David Hall and Michael Hart. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening September 21, 2011 at Tapp Funeral Home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Mrs. Hathcoat passed away Sunday evening, September 18, 2011 in Sunny Springs Nursing Home.

Ruby E. Hathcoat was born on November 14, 1932, in Valley Springs, the daughter of George W and Annie Gaines Jones. She married Clyde Hathcoat in Sulphur Springs, on April 24, 1948. He survives. Mrs. Hathcoat was a dedicated homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include son, Jerry Hathcoat, and wife, Rebecca, of Brashear; daughter, Linda Sams, and husband, Bob, of Kissimmee, FL; sister, Frances Skelton, and husband, Jimmy, of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Rob Sams, Jr., Stephanie Guthrie, Phillip Sams, Daniel Hathcoat, Anna Calavan; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, George W. Jones, Jr.
