Rafael Castorena

Funeral services for Rafael Castorena, age 61, of Sulphur Springs are scheduled for Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 2:00PM at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Leo Wisniewski and Pastor C. J. Duffy officiating. Marcus Hill, Troy Hill, Manuel Hernandez, Sr., Manuel Hernandez, Jr., Eusebio Vazquez and Leonardo Castorena will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be held Saturday, 25, 2016 at Tapp Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Mr. Castorena was born October 24, 1954, the son of Silviano Castorena and Rafaela Hernandez. He was married to Lanetta (Hill) Castorena in Quitman, Texas on December 30, 1994. He was a welder for Ronnie's Welding and of the Catholic faith. Mr. Castorena passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Lanetta; one son, Nathan Castorena, of Sulphur Springs; one grandson, Carson Hegseth; one granddaughter, Kyleigh Castorena; two sisters, Justina Castorena and Eufemia Castorena both of Mexico; five brothers, Agustin Castorena, Alfredo Castorena, Rodrigo Castorena, Guadalupe Castorena and Marino Castorena, all of Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Santiago Castorena.
