R. Harris, Jr

R.T. Harris, Jr. (Scott), 56, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home in Sulphur Springs, TX. He was born on July 7, 1957 in Wylie, TX to Roust T. and Evelyn (Hall) Harris. He was educated in Sulphur Springs School District.

Scott worked many years at Sand Point Mobile Homes and Westway Feed Store. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting, and was also well known for his automotive skills.

Scott is survived by his mother Evelyn Harris; one daughter Kenya Gasaway of Dallas, TX; one son Brandon Gasaway of Greenville, TX; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nine sisters, Debra Green (Leroy), Evelyn Turner (Ray), Sharon Ayers (James) of Fort Worth, TX, Janice Henley (Lester), Tracie Johnson (Anthony), Regina Johnson, Lisa Thompson (Doug), Zina Young, and Eleanor Harris (Marcus) of Sulphur Springs, TX; two brothers, Frederick Harris of Sulphur Springs, TX and Steven Thompson of Dallas, TX; a very special friend, Lisa Boles; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Scott was preceded in death by his loving father, Roust T. Harris and two brothers, Calvin and Zachary Thompson.
