Funeral services for Pearline Wade Johnson, age 75, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rudy Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the East Caney Cemetery with friends and family serving as pallbearers.
No formal visitation or wake will be held.
Pearline Wade was born January 23, 1935 in Hopkins County, the daughter of Sylvester Wade Sr. and Audrey M. Thompson Wade. She married Willie Lewis Johnson. Mrs. Wade was a housekeeper and member of Martin Luther King Church of Christ in Sulphur Springs.
Mrs. Johnson passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home in Sulphur Springs.
Surviving family includes her brothers,Sammy Wade of Monday, Texas, Noble Wade and Sylvester Wade both of Sulphur Springs; sister, Fayrene Green, of Sulphur Springs; cousin, Ada Sims of Sulphur Springs; nieces, Audrey Green Harrison, Laura Green, Regina Davis, Evon Wade, Cynthia Elaine Wade, Ashlie Green, Sharnice Green Jana, Suelene Lindley and Jasmine Green; nephews, Gary W. Green, James E. Green, Laurance Green, Willie D. Wade, Sammy Wade, Jr., Keidrick D. Green and Da'Kerryon Harrision; great-nieces, Te'Asia Hopkins and Shalice Green and great-nephew Da'Qualin Green.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, one brother, Billy Wayne Wade, two sisters, Thomas Ann Davis and Alice Duffy, great-nephew Keldrin D. Green and great-great-niece, Ashlyn Green.
Tapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
