Nona Simpson

Graveside funeral services for Nona Dell Simpson, age 85, formerly of Hopkins County, have been scheduled for Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 2:30 PM at the Nelta Cemetery with Bro. Clint Bratcher officiating. A visitation will be held at Tapp Funeral Home Wednesday, October 26, 2011 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM.


Nona Dell Sexton was born on April 16, 1926, in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of B. C. and Iva Lee Holmes Sexton. She married F. A. Simpson in Oklahoma on January 23, 1943. He preceded her in death in 2010. Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Lake Point Medical Center in Rowlett.

Survivors include, son, Charles Simpson, and wife, LaVada, of Nevada, TX; grandson, Joseph Edwin Simpson, and wife, Robin; great-granddaughter, Molly Simpson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Charles Frank Simpson, Jr.
