Funeral services for Neoma Dingman,age 92, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. George McCain and Bro. Mike Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Stouts Creek Cemetery with Heath Highfield, Colby Flowers, Jeff Pool, Bret Sanders, Terry Busby and Kenneth Hedges serving as pallbearers, Richard Smith, J. B. Garner, Doyle Glossup, Marty Glossup will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Neoma Mays was born July 26, 1917 in Saltillo, Texas, the daughter of James Fletcher Mays and Mayflower Cannada Mays. She married Walt Dingman in Paris, Texas on October 12, 1940. Mr. Dingman survives his wife of 69 years. Mrs. Dingman was a homemaker and a member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dingman passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at her residence in Sulphur Springs.
Surviving family includes her daughters: Mazie Norman of Troupe, Texas; Betty Sanders and husband Dale of Garland, Texas; Carolyn Johnson and husband Gary of Sadler, Texas; Sammie Hedges and husband Billy of Whitesboro,Texas; and Beth Highfield and husband Rex of Sulphur Springs, Texas. Brothers: Guy Mays; James Mays; Johnny Mays; and Gerald Mays;Sisters: Christine Kerr; Tera Faye Blagg; Modine Stretcher and Jimmye Garner also survive along with grandchildren, Jeff Pool; Ashley Miller; Colby Flowers; Brett Sanders; Kristin Malka; Kathy Walser; Suzanne Perkins; David Hedges; Kenneth Hedges; Mandy Busby and Heath Highfield; sixteen great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Dingman was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Pauline Bearden, Tommie Jo Sudduth and an infant sister Joanne Mays.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00 PM Monday evening, April 5, 2010 at Tapp Funeral Home.
