Funeral Services for Madena Moss, age 100, will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Spence Chapel at First Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cumby with Bryan Moss, Mason Moss, Ethan Moss, Milton Pound, Tony Chevalier, and John Faison serving as pallbearers. No formal visitation.
Sallie Madena Moss passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at Carriage House Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Hopkins County, TX on September 2, 1913 the daughter of Dee Clinton and Lillian Hendrickson Faison. She married Marion E. Moss in Pickton, TX on August 18, 1937. He preceded her in death in January, 1968. She was a bookkeeper for Red Ball Freight, a cook for Hopkins County Memorial Hospital and work at fabric store. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs since 1952.
Survivors include: son. Floyd Moss and wife, Wilma of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Lillian Pound of Sulphur Springs; brother, Rufus D. Faison of Port Orchard, WA; grandchildren, Bryan Moss, Rebecca Chevalier, Milton Pound, and Marion Fuller; four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Marion E. Moss, brothers, John Ole Faison and William Earl Faison.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Mission Program or the food bank.
