Lucia Rogers

Graveside services for Lucia Strickland Rogers, age 72, have been scheduled for 10:00AM Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Rock Hill Cemetery in Wood County with Bro. Rodney Crist and Bro. James McKee officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A visitation will be held at Tapp Funeral Home Wednesday evening, August 8, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

Lucia Ann Rogers was born on November 20, 1939, in Shreveport, LA., the daughter of Elbridge Lewis and Ema Lou Foster Robinson. She married James Rogers in Arkansas on October 10, 2001. He survives. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and a member of County Line Baptist Church of Yantis. She passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at her residence.


Survivors include son, Terry Maples, of Illinois; daughters, Amanda Neal, of Winnsboro and Lucia Bitner, of Grand Prairie; step-son, Jimmy Rogers, of Quitman; step-daughter, Julie Jones, of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Betty Lou Jordan, of Mt. Vernon and Ester Ruth Wilhite, of Scroggins; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to County Line Baptist Church of Yantis.
