Lou Thomas

Funeral service for Lou Jane Henley Thomas, age 67, of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 2, 2017 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Nelson Gatlin officiating and Bro. Tim Ransom, Prince Beechum, Robert Bonner, Mario Thomas, Reggie Thomas and Philip Henley serving as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Mel Haven Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Thomas passed away at home on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.

Lou Jane Henley Thomas was born on July 5, 1950 in Sulphur Springs, Texas, the daughter of Phil T and Faula Mae (Boose) Henley. She attended Douglas School in Sulphur Springs. Lou was a homemaker and member of Mitchell Chapel Church of God in Christ. She was also a member of the Senior Choir and a Sunday School Booster. Lou was a member of the Lavender Ladies.

She is survived by her children, Jimmie Gordon, Donnie R. Thomas and Sharon Hill; brother Richard W. Henley; sisters, Bennie K Berry, Laura E Bell, Nancy J Henley and Sue A. Gordon; cousins, Margie McQueen and Wilbert Roland; several nieces and nephews.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Thomas; brothers, Don Boose, Terry Henley; sisters, Connie Green, Lila Mae Henley and Brenda Henley.
