Lola Stephenson

Funeral services for Lola Mae Stephenson, age 85, formerly of Sulphur Springs will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Norvell officiating. Interment will follow in the City Cemetery with her nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Tapp Funeral Home.
Ms. Stephenson passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2016 in Kilgore, Texas. She was born in Brashear, Texas on March 6, 1931 the daughter of Rob and Julie Paine Bunch. She was married to Johnnie Stephenson in 1950. He preceded her in death. She owned and operated her own nursery for many years before retiring.
Survivors include: one daughter. Johnnie Sue Bates and husband, Russell; one grandson, Joshua Leslie and wife, Brandy; three great grandchildren, Haley Nguyen, Toni Leslie and Colton Leslie; two sisters, Bobbee Bell and Pat Darling; one brother, Charles Bunch and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie Stephenson and two brothers.
