Lillie Shaw

Funeral services for Ms. Carl Lillie Shaw, age 89, of Tyler, have been scheduled for Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the East Caney Missionary Baptist Church with the Pastor Rudy Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at the East Caney Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Quon Clayton, Keenan Clayton, David Nelson, Leo Shaw, Kenneth Shaw and Kelvin Harris. A visitation will be held at Tapp Funeral Home Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Carl Lillie Shaw was born in Sulphur Springs on February 3, 1929, the daughter of Earl Lennox Williams and Dellie Tolliver Williams. Ms. Shaw worked as a cook for the Country Club as well as the hospital and several nursing homes in the area and was a member of the East Caney Missionary Baptist Church. She passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Reunion Plaza in Tyler, TX.
Survivors include, daughters: Netra Shaw of Greenville and Ruthie Nelson of Tyler; son, Joe H. Sims of LA, CA; brother: Arvis “A.W.” Williams and wife, Betty of Gladewater, TX; sister, Mardell Clayton of Sulphur Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Andrew Lee Williams, Earl Walter Williams and Richard Williams; sister: Savanah Williams Jerry.
