Kathryn Mapes

Funeral services for Kathryn Ann Mapes, age 66, have been scheduled for 2:00PM Monday, January 29, 2018 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Hansen Wakeman officiating. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmey Freeman Foley, Sr., Jimmey Freeman Foley, Jr., Joseph Ray Forshee, Isac Zane Foley, Samuel Otis Foley and Jonah Freeman Foley. Interment will be at Union Cemetery. Kathryn was born on August 13, 1951 in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of Hank Harrington and Nell Kathryn Springer Harrington. She was married to Everett Mapes, who preceded her in death. She was a Dental Assistant and was a member of the Union Baptist Church. She passed away at Sunny Springs Nursing Home on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Survivors include sons, Bryan Forshee and wife Leslie of Texarkana and David Forshee; grandchildren, Joseph Ray Forshee and Kathryn Elizabeth Sells; sister, Carol Potteiger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hank and Nell Harrington; husband Everett Mapes.
