John Smith

Funeral services for John Alan Smith, age 52 of Sulphur Springs will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, at Tapp Funeral Home . Interment will follow in the North Hopkins Cemetery with Mark Conley, Randy Conley, Roger Claxton, Billy Johnson, John Mays, and Tom Trull serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Charlie Phillip and Robert Wayne Milton. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Tapp Funeral Home.
John Smith passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Paris TX on August 15, 1959 the son of John Arthur Smith and Carol Rattan Smith. He married Michele Conley August 14, 1982 in Bonham TX. Mr. Smith was an Ag. Teacher at Farmersville High School and was affiliated with the Oak Ridge Church of Christ.
Survivors include: wife, Michele Smith; daughters, Shannon Smith and Jennifer Compton and husband Colt both of Mabank; grandchild, Grady Compton; brothers, Jeff Smith and Stan Smith both of Honey Grove; sisters, Jackie Shelton of Waxahachie, Cindy Kueckelhan of Bonham and Leasa Baxter of Honey Grove; and parents, John and Carol Smith of Honey Grove.
