Jeanette Owens

Graveside services for Jeanette Anita Owens, age 76, have been set for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at DFW National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Coy Sellers, Justin Sellers, Daniel Saylor, Trent Jones, Rusty LeFan and Darrell Shelton. Visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tapp Funeral Home.
Mrs. Owens passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab in Sulphur Springs.
She was a resident of Yantis in Wood County. She was a member of the County Line Baptist Church and of O.E.S. Chapter # 1132 in Quitman, TX.
Jeanette Owens was born January 28, 1942, the daughter of Z.D. Allen and Leoneta Potthoff Allen in Fort Worth, Texas. She married Patrick Joseph Owen in Parker County on March 23, 1979. She worked as a Director of Finance for Family Service, Inc. before retiring.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick Owens; daughters: Melinda Lacy of Azle, TX and Lenise Jones and husband Rusty LeFan of Joshua, TX; stepsons: Teddy Owens of Baltimore, MD and Timmy Owens of Atlanta, GA; stepdaughters: Trisha Cox, Tammi Lewis and Tyra Walker, all of Ft. Worth, TX: sister: Sylvia Butcher of Bridgeport, TX: Grandsons: Coy Sellers, Justin Sellers, Daniel Saylor and Trent Jones; great granddaughter: Kylie Saylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Z.D and Leoneta Allen.
