Helen Rowe

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park at 2:15pm for Helen Rowe, age 95, of Sulphur Springs. Brother Tommy Hall will officiate. Mrs. Rowe passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab.
Helen Rowe was born February 22, 1923 in Hopkins County, the daughter of William Thomas Mitchell and Roxanne Knight Mitchell. She married Avon Rowe in Brashear, TX on November 21, 1939. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a Nurse’s Aide at the hospital and a door greeter at Wal-Mart. Helen was a member of Davis Street Baptist Church and of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
Survivors include sons: Winfred Rowe and wife, Martha, of Dallas, James Rowe and wife, Janis, of Providence Village and Terry Rowe of Sulphur Springs; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren.
Mrs. Rowe was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Avon Rowe; son: Dewey Rowe; 2 brothers; 4 sisters.
