Glenzell Hawkins

Graveside services for Glenzell Hawkins, age 74, of Sulphur Springs, have been scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Greenview Cemetery with Pastor Vern Hawkins officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Dylan Thomas-Hicks, Robert Parker, Joseph Hicks, Michael Ferguson, Quinith Hicks and Ardell Hicks, Jr. A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Tapp Funeral Home.
Glenzell was born January 14, 1942 in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of Elmer Henry Newsom and Linnie Bell Holmes Newsom and was a clerical worker in the manufacturing business. She Passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.
Survivors include: two sons, Ardell Hicks, Jr. and wife Mary of Sulphur Springs and Quinith Hicks of North Richland Hills; three daughters, Teresa England of Austin, Kimberly Parker of Sulphur Springs and Jill Husman of LittleRock, Arkanasas; two sisters, Jenny Ferguson and husband Celo and Vernice Penny and husband, Red both of Sulphur Springs; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter.
Glenzell was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Y.B. Newsom and Cecil Newsom.
