Doris Armstrong

Funeral services for Doris Armstrong, age 81, of Richardson, have been scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with B.J. Teer officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Saltillo Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at 1:00 pm.
Doris Armstrong passed away December 11, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. She was born in Winnsboro on August 10, 1934, the daughter of Orgie Webster French and Myrtle Lou McFarlin French. She married Bobby Joe Armstrong on June 17, 1955 in Dallas County. He preceded her in death in 2014. She was a Field Office Administrator for Perkin-Elmer Corp. She also worked at Dallas Power and Light and Collins Radio.
Survivors include: sons, Mark Armstrong and wife Pat of Sunray, TX and Robert Armstrong and wife Maureen of Carrollton, TX; a daughter, Kathy Kennedy and husband Matthew of Silver Spring, MD; grandchildren, Steven Armstrong, Sean Armstrong, Keith Armstrong, Kathryn Kennedy and Lindsay Kennedy; 1 great grandson, Dante Armstrong and 3 sisters Geneva Richards, Brenda Littrell and Mary Basham.
She was also preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Jack French, Jerry French and Billy Bob Freeman; and sisters, Loretta Freeman and Pauline French Stroud.

Arrangements are under the direction of Tapp Funeral Home.

Visitation 1 hour before the service at 1:00PM.
