Danny Joe Sims was born on September 25, 1956 to the late Omegene Sims in Hopkins County. He finished Sulphur Springs Sr. High School in 1975 and went on to work at Sandpoint Mobil Home plant for many years, then later worked for Carnation.
Danny passed away on December 31, 2019 from an extended illness at his home in Sulphur Springs.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Billy Petty, Jams Henley and Chachandra Henley Hall, his sisters, Shirley Pryor, Barbara Cobb, Linda Hall and Ada Wright Lipscomb, a brother, Harry Sims (Sherry), aunts, Arlene Williams and Peggy White, uncle, Carter Sims, Jr.; brother-in-laws: Michael Debase and Clyde Debase; sister-in-laws: Gladys Debase and Debra Debase; 22 grandkids and 26 great grandkids and a host of nieces and nephews.
Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Henley, his mother, Omegene Sims, a son, Reginald Petty, his father, Joe L. Wright and several uncles and aunts.
