Corine Johnson

Funeral services for Corine Johnson, age 82, of Sulphur Springs, have been scheduled for 1:00PM, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Martin Luther King Church of Christ with Valanderous Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Mel Haven Cemetery. No visitation has been scheduled.


Corine Bomar was born on January 13, 1929, in Collin County, the daughter of Wallace and Callie Hickson Bomar. She married George Ellis, Jr. He preceded her in death. She married Robert Johnson in 2001. He preceded her in death in 2009. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and was a member of the Martin Luther King Church of Christ. Mrs. Johnson passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Carriage House Manor Nursing Home in Sulphur Springs.


Survivors include step-daughters, Ethel Mae Johnson, Mae Thomas, Shelia Hall, all of Sulphur Springs, Naomi Johnson, of Commerce, Vernon Reece, Florence Williams, Jerri Finnley, all of Phoenix; step-sons, Harry Lee Johnson, of Greenville, Ronny Lynn Johnson, of Phoenix; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
