Cleatus Johnson

Funeral services for Cleatus Johnson will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Willis Taylor Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Kenneth Wright, Glenn Young, Jacob Williams, Cartritus Johnson Jr., Shaka Johnson, and Vencent Johnson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Autry Pride, Jackie Young, Willy Miles, Wesley Johnson, Billy Young, W.C. Pryor, Jimmy Johnson and Bob Thomas. No formal visitation has been scheduled.
Cleatus Johnson, age 69, of Sulphur Springs, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler. He was born the son of Jack and Lucille Johnson on January 23, 1943 in Sulphur Springs. He married Anna Miles on November 26, 1968 in Rains County, TX. She survives. Mr. Johnson was a retired ware house forman for Farmers Coop, and was affiliated with the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: daughter, Carla Houff (Don), of Nash, TX; brothers, Cartritus Jonson (Freddie), Dalvis Johnson (Vanessa), both of Sulphur Springs; sister, Leonia Williams (Ray), of Ft. Worth, three grandchildren; Delecia Simmons, Kendra Ross, and LaQualynn Miles; two great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Hollins and Nathaniel Simmons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Daphne Ross.
