Clara Bridges

Funeral services for Clara Bridges will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Morning Chapel Baptist Church with Brother Harold Nash officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with the Decons of Morning Chapel and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation has been set for Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Tapp Funeral Home from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM.
Clara Bridges, age 101, of Sulphur Springs, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at Baylor Health Care in Dallas. She was born the daughter of Jim and Tessie Blackwell, in Hopkins County. She married Wyson B. Bridges in April 1935 in Sulphur Springs, TX. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2000. Ms. Bridges was a homemaker, and was affiliated with the Morning Chapel Baptist Church.
Other survivors include: son, Henry B. Bridges (Larese), of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Marilyn Davis, Edna Jackson, Debra Bryant, Myra Stewart, Jimmy Frazier, and Shana Williams; twelve great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Carroll Bridges in 2000, and sister, Pearline Blackwell.
